Each month, join Women In Film & Television Austin members for a networking session. Start off the evening with simple introductions, then mix & mingle and learn about each others' ideas and goals.
Our special guests for the October Third Thursday event are Fred Poston and CJ Legare with TXMPA (Texas Media Production Alliance).
Who: Everyone! WIFT Austin members, allies, and the public community interested in film, television, and the media industry in general. Whether in front of the camera, or behind the camera, we have attendees in all roles.

About Fred Poston and CJ Legare
The TXMPA is a statewide non-profit industry advocacy organization. Our goal is to continually uplift our local community of creative professionals by growing the tax incentives and expanding TMIIIP to bring more films, television, gaming, digital media and interactives to the state, helping to make Texas the media capital of the world.
Fred Poston
Prior to joining TXMPA as the Executive Director Fred was an accomplished International Production & Operations Media Executive, holding senior roles at CBS, Discovery, Disney, Warner Bros and Fox. With a homebase in Los Angeles for more than 20 years, Fred managed 100 media brands in 40+ countries and 20 languages, with long-term assignments in Washington D.C. and Miami that included oversight of Latin American operation offices in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, as well as a Singapore-based assignment overseeing Asia Pacific operations. A native Texan, he is honored to have returned home to serve the Texas media industry.
CJ Legare
CJ has been acting, singing and dancing since childhood, performing all over the world as an Air Force Brat. Signed by Elite Model Management while studying theatre, she worked as a print & runway plus-size model while also transitioning to film, television, commercial and voiceover work. As a Creative Generalist CJ has also worked in experiential marketing, photography and startups.
About Bambino
Bambino Austin opened in the heart of East Austin in March 2024 and is the sophomore restaurant from seasoned restaurateur and chef duo Adam Orman and Fiore Tedesco of L’Oca d’Oro. Bambino weaves together the spirit of the 80s with a grown-up sensibility–arguably bringing to life 10-year old Fiore’s vision of a pizzeria. With reverence for the integrity of the dough and ingredient sourcing overall, the pizzeria represents a culmination of Fiore’s life in food, from his start as a pre-teen shaping rolls at a cousin’s bakery through a career in fine dining–all accompanied by 30 years of making fresh mozzarella and a fidelity to excellence.
